Competition and Show Dates
Here are the show dates and other important dates for the season. When links are ready for show timeline and volunteer sign-ups, I will post them here (as well as send out through email and remind). In general, the shows will take from 1:00PM to 9:00PM including "lot" time, performance, and watching other bands.

The competitions are like a cross between a sporting event of some sort and a music festival. When you arrive with your student, you will be directed by volunteers to park in the spectator parking area and will make your way to the parking lot where the bands and trailers are. First off your child will get a wristband and start setting up his or her instrument. We will rehearse right there in the parking lot, have a good snack, then go into the venue to compete. It may seem like a LOT of effort for less than five minutes of play time, but the reason we go is more than just to compete. We get to experience some creative and talented groups and enjoy a day of being with our friends.

I recommend you have your son or daughter bring a small backpack to put a sweatshirt, hat, phone, charger, or whatever may be needed for a day outside. Everyone should have earplugs and should keep them with them at all times. Parents who are volunteering to push in equipment will get wristbands to enter the competition, but may have to purchase them to re-enter later for watching other bands. All other entourage will need to buy wristbands (usually $15 ea.).
